We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Geography to join our successful secondary school in Weymouth from September 2026.

The successful candidate will be passionate about Geography and committed to delivering engaging, challenging and inspiring lessons that encourage students to understand the world around them and develop strong geographical knowledge and critical-thinking skills.

As a Teacher of Geography, you will:

  • Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, with the potential for KS5.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons.
  • Inspire students to develop a strong understanding of physical and human geography.
  • Prepare and support students for GCSE examinations.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies to meet different learning needs.
  • Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Geography department.
  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour, progress and achievement.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Geography within a secondary school setting.
  • Has excellent subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Geography.
  • Can create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Has high expectations of all students.
  • Is committed to raising attainment and supporting student progress.
  • Works effectively as part of a supportive department and wider school team.
