We are seeking a Geography Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Portsmouth area. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver stimulating lessons across KS3 and KS4 while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking and academic progress.

You will become part of a collaborative Humanities department with a shared commitment to student success.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Delivering engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Encouraging enquiry-based and analytical learning
• Supporting curriculum planning and lesson development
• Monitoring student progress and supporting attainment
• Differentiating lessons to support all learners
• Creating a stimulating and positive classroom environment
• Supporting departmental initiatives and school priorities

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge in Geography
• Experience teaching within a secondary school setting
• Ability to motivate and engage students
• Creative and adaptable teaching approach
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
