An 11–16 secondary school in Southampton is seeking a Geography Teacher to join their Humanities department from September. This is a long-term position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right person.

The role is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers, with full-time or part-time options available. You will be teaching Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students to make strong progress in a subject that is central to understanding the modern world.

The school has a strong focus on Respect, Pride, Creativity, and Challenge, offering a supportive and ambitious environment where staff and students work collaboratively as a community.

  • Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Prepare students effectively for GCSE Geography through clear explanations and structured learning
  • Use formative and summative assessment to monitor progress and inform teaching
  • Establish strong classroom routines and promote positive behaviour for learning
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, fieldwork opportunities, and enrichment activities
  • Work collaboratively within the Humanities department and across the wider school

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
