General Teaching Assistant – Ashton-in-Makerfield (Wigan)
A welcoming primary school in Ashton-in-Makerfield is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

• Supporting the class teacher across KS1 or KS2
• Delivering small group interventions in literacy and numeracy
• Providing targeted support to pupils who need additional guidance
• Assisting with classroom organisation, behaviour management and daily routines
• Encouraging pupil engagement and independence in learning

The school is looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in a primary school setting
• Is confident working with groups of children of mixed ability
• Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Is reliable, proactive, and able to use initiative

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
