As a GCSE Tutor based in Folkestone, Kent, you will be responsible for providing high-quality tutoring to secondary school students preparing for their General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) exams. Your primary focus will be on assisting students in achieving their academic goals and improving their understanding of key subjects.

  • Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions in accordance with the GCSE curriculum
  • Assess students' learning needs and tailor lesson plans accordingly
  • Provide feedback on student progress and areas for improvement
  • Help students develop study skills and exam strategies
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching GCSE subjects

A degree in Education or a related field

Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching or tutoring

  • Strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Organisational skills and the ability to plan effective lessons
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds

This role involves part-time hours, typically outside of regular school hours. You will be working closely with students in a classroom or one-on-one setting, as well as liaising with parents and school staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
