TP Tutors, a prominent education and tuition provider, is currently seeking experienced Functional Skills Tutors for the Ruddington and Clifton (NG11) areas. As a Functional Skills Tutor, you'll play a pivotal role in helping individuals enhance their English, Maths, and Science abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging 1:1 and group-based functional skills tuition sessions with high quality.
  • Develop and implement customised lesson plans and resources tailored to each learner's specific needs.
  • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback to foster their growth.
  • Employ various teaching methods to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
  • Identify individual learner needs and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, progress, and achievements.

Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Qualification in a relevant subject area.
  • Previous experience in teaching or tutoring functional skills.
  • Experience working 1:1 with learners.

Working Conditions:

As a Functional Skills Tutor, you'll primarily work in either care homes, pupils homes or public libraries, delivering tuition sessions to learners. The role may require some travel within the East Midlands region.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
