We are seeking a fully qualified teacher to deliver outstanding education within a Birkenhead-based school. The successful candidate will plan, prepare and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum, ensuring all pupils benefit from an engaging and inclusive learning environment. This role involves assessing and monitoring pupil progress, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with parents and colleagues to support pupil development. The teacher will consistently uphold school policies and contribute positively to the school’s ethos and continuous improvement.
- Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that meet curriculum standards and address the diverse needs of pupils.
- Assess, record and report on pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning and development.
- Create a positive, safe and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active pupil participation and engagement.
- Maintain discipline and promote positive behaviour in accordance with school policies.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching materials and share best practise.
- Engage with parents and carers to discuss pupil progress and address any concerns effectively.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions and school events.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities and school initiatives.
- Uphold safeguarding policies to ensure the welfare and safety of all pupils at all times.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognised in England.
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant subject or education.
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- Successful completion of an Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme.
- Experience teaching in a school environment, preferably within Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4.
- Proven ability to plan and deliver effective lessons.
- Experience working with diverse pupil groups and adapting teaching approaches accordingly.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the national curriculum and current educational practises.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and resources to enhance learning.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practise.
- Postgraduate qualifications in education or a relevant specialism.
- Experience or training in special educational needs and inclusion.
- Familiarity with assessment frameworks and data analysis to inform teaching.
- First aid qualification.
- Full-time position based within a school setting.
- Regular school hours during term time, with occasional after-school activities or meetings.
- Role involves standing for extended periods and active engagement with pupils.
- Use of standard classroom resources and educational technology.
- Supportive and collaborative working environment focused on pupil development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
