This position could suit an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with transferable experience who is keen to establish themselves within the education sector.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide practical and learning-focused support throughout the school day. Your role will vary depending on the needs of the pupils and the classroom.

You may be responsible for:

  • Working with individual pupils who require additional guidance

  • Helping pupils understand and complete classroom tasks

You will play an important part in helping create a classroom where pupils feel comfortable, included and able to achieve.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about working with children and understands the importance of providing consistent support.

You will ideally be:

  • Patient and supportive

  • Friendly and approachable

  • Confident communicating with children and adults

  • Reliable and punctual

  • Calm when dealing with challenging situations

  • Comfortable working independently when required

  • A team player who is happy to work alongside teachers and support staff

  • Flexible and willing to adapt to individual pupil needs

We would welcome applications from individuals with backgrounds in childcare, youth work, tutoring, mentoring, sports coaching, care work or volunteering who can demonstrate the right skills and attitude.

The successful candidate may be required to work with pupils who have additional learning or support requirements.

Experience of SEND, Autism, ADHD, behavioural needs, communication difficulties or learning difficulties would be advantageous.

You don't need to be an expert in every area of SEND. What matters is your ability to listen, remain patient and adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of the pupils you are supporting.

You will also have opportunities to develop your understanding of SEND thro
