What does the role involve?
- Preparing Maths teaching and learning materials
- Providing guidance and advice to pupils on education and on their further education and careers
- Providing feedback to students and parents, through consultation evenings, phone calls or written communication as appropriate
- Contributing to department planning and self-evaluation
- Providing professional support to other teachers and support staff
- Attending departmental and school meetings, either during or after the school day, as requested
What do you need?
- An Maths/Science-related education degree
- Preferably a valid QTS
- An enhanced DBS registered to the update service (If you do not hold this, we can arrange for you at a cost of £44, which is refundable once you have completed ten days in your new role.)
- Knowledge of the UK Secondary Curriculum and the subjects
- Able and willing to travel to the area
- 2 education-based references
- A passion for teaching
- Good approach to behaviour management
- A determined, hard-working attitude
Immediate start is available. The school can offer you security with the role as it is a long-term position for at least 1 academic year.
