We are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school seeking an outstanding Teacher of Technology, specialising in Food and Nutrition, to join their team from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and committed practitioner to deliver high‑quality teaching within a collaborative and supportive environment. The successful candidate will contribute to a knowledge‑rich, inclusive curriculum and support students in developing both practical and theoretical skills.


You will deliver engaging Technology lessons, with a focus on Food and Nutrition at KS4, while working closely with colleagues to support curriculum planning, student progress, and high‑quality teaching practices.

You will also contribute to wider school life, including pastoral responsibilities and enrichment opportunities.


  • Deliver high‑quality Technology teaching, including Food and Nutrition at KS4
  • Plan inclusive lessons to meet a range of learner needs (including SEND and EAL)
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching accordingly
  • Support curriculum development and share best practice
  • Prepare students for exams and provide targeted intervention
  • Set and mark work in line with school expectations
  • Participate in meetings, training, and school events
  • Act as a form tutor, supporting student wellbeing and development
  • Promote safeguarding, attendance, behaviour, and welfare
  • Contribute to extracurricular and enrichment activities

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it
  • Relevant degree in Technology or related subject
  • Experience teaching Technology at KS3 and KS4
  • Ability to teach Food and Nutrition at KS4
  • Strong subject knowledge and effective teaching practice
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Understanding of safeguarding, SEND, and equality requirements
  • Willingness to contribute to pastoral responsibilities
  • Experience teaching post‑16
  • Experience as a form tutor
  • Experience with exams or assessment processes
  • Ability to deliver extracurricular activities
  • Confident use of digital tools to support learning
