A high-achieving, large mixed-comprehensive secondary school in Manchester is seeking a dynamic and passionate Food Technology Teacher to join their dedicated permanent staff team. Key Responsibilities:
*
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons that cater to a diverse range of student abilities.
*
Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to inspire students and enhance their culinary skills and nutritional knowledge.
*
Assess, record, and report on students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
*
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm.
*
Manage classroom resources effectively and ensure a safe and hygienic learning environment.
*
Participate in curriculum development and extracurricular activities related to Food Technology.
*
Collaborate with colleagues to promote a cohesive and supportive educational experience.

Requirements:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*
A degree in Food Technology, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
*
Proven experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary school level.
*
Strong knowledge of the Food Technology curriculum and current educational practices.
*
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
*
Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
*
Commitment to continuous professional development and improvement.

Desirable:
*Experience in a fast-improving or challenging school environment.
*Familiarity with the use of technology in education.
*A track record of contributing to extracurricular activities and school initiatives.
