The Role

As a Day-to-Day Teaching Assistant, you'll provide flexible support across different year groups depending on the school's daily requirements. Your duties may include:

  • Supporting pupils in class alongside the class teacher.
  • Working with small groups to deliver targeted interventions.
  • Providing 1:1 support where required.
  • Assisting children with additional learning needs and SEND.
  • Helping to create an engaging and positive learning environment.
  • Supporting behaviour management strategies.
  • Encouraging pupil participation, confidence and independence.

Every day can be different, making this role ideal for someone who enjoys variety and building experience across different age groups.

The Ideal Candidate

We're keen to hear from candidates who:

  • Have experience working with children in schools, nurseries, childcare settings or similar environments.
  • Are confident supporting pupils with SEND, including Autism, ADHD and Speech & Language needs.
  • Can deliver interventions and support small-group learning.
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude and aren't afraid to muck in when needed.
  • Are reliable, adaptable and happy working across different classes.
  • Have strong communication skills and can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Hold a relevant TA qualification (desirable but not essential).
