Mainstream Secondary Schools

I am recruiting for Flexible Supply Teaching Assistants to support a range of mainstream secondary schools across Central and South Bristol.

This is ideal for people who enjoy working with young people but want greater control over their working week. Whether you're available one or two days a week, looking for regular work across several days, or simply want to experience different schools before committing to something long-term, supply can offer that flexibility.

You'll support students across the classroom, SEND provision, pastoral spaces and intervention settings, depending on your experience and the needs of each school.

You can:

• Let me know which days you're available each week
• Work across different secondary schools in your local area
• Take on day-to-day cover or short-term placements
• Build experience across a variety of school environments
• Increase or reduce your availability when your circumstances change
• Explore different schools before considering a longer-term position

It's a great option if you need work to fit around other commitments, studies, family life, coaching or another part-time role.

Depending on the placement and your experience, you may:

• Support students within mainstream lessons
• Work 1:1 with students requiring additional help
• Provide small-group learning support
• Support students with SEND, including Autism and ADHD
• Assist with SEMH, behaviour and engagement needs
• Work within inclusion hubs or SEND resource bases
• Support literacy, numeracy or subject-specific interventions
• Help teachers create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Build positive relationships with students who benefit from additional adult support

Previous experience working with children or young people is highly desirable, particularly if you're confident stepping into different environments and adapting quickly.
