East Sussex

No

Not everyone wants — or needs — full-time work.

SEND and SEMH schools across East Sussex regularly need people who can step in at short notice to support pupils and keep things running smoothly.

This is ideal for people looking for flexible, ad-hoc work.

  • Calls between 7:30am – 8:00am
  • Same-day placements
  • Some weeks busy, some quieter
  • Work across different schools

If you need guaranteed hours, this probably isn’t the right fit.

If you want flexibility, it works well.

  • Covering Teaching Assistant, LSA or teaching roles
  • Supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
  • Helping maintain calm and structure in the classroom
  • Adapting quickly to different environments

This tends to suit people who:

  • Want flexible, ad-hoc work
  • Have other commitments or income streams
  • Are confident, calm and adaptable
  • Can get to schools at short notice
  • Are happy being on standby

Access to a car is a big advantage, but not essential.

  • Teaching roles paid to scale
  • TA / LSA roles paid at £92.60 per day
  • Work across East Sussex SEND & SEMH schools
  • Fully flexible opportunities

  • A child-only enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Or willingness to apply immediately
  • Reliability — if you say yes, schools are expecting you

If this fits your lifestyle and you’re happy with the flexibility, apply or message me and we’ll get you set up.
