Teaching Personnel is recruiting Cover Supervisors across Durham and Sunderland for a September 2026 start, with flexible working patterns available to suit your schedule.

Cover Supervision is a great option for anyone who enjoys being in a classroom environment but wants flexibility without the commitment of a permanent role. No lesson planning, no marking, no parents' evenings - you go in, supervise the class, deliver the work that's been left, and make sure students stay on task.

What the role involves:

  • Supervising classes across a range of subjects at KS3 and KS4
  • Delivering pre-set work left by the class teacher

  • Adapting confidently to different schools and year groups

To be considered:

  • Experience working in a school or a degree in any discipline
  • Confidence managing a classroom and maintaining high expectations
  • A reliable, professional, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
