EYFS Teaching Assistant – Nursery

Location: Wigan (Atherton area)
Start Date: September 2026

A nursery setting within a primary school in Atherton is looking to recruit an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support children within their early years provision.

This role is full-time and requires someone with a strong understanding of early development and a hands-on, engaging approach.

The Role:

  • Supporting children within a nursery setting
  • Assisting with play-based learning activities
  • Supporting speech, language and social development
  • Observing and recording pupil progress
  • Creating a safe and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in EYFS (or equivalent)
  • Experience working within a nursery or reception setting
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Patient, enthusiastic and nurturing approach
  • Able to work as part of a team
