We are seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children during the crucial early stages of their education.

Working alongside the class teacher, you will help create a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Salary: £14.25 - £15.50 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time
Start Date: Monday 2nd November 2026 or ASAP

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning activities across the EYFS curriculum.
  • Assist with the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and learning environments.
  • Encourage children's development through play-based learning and structured activities.
  • Support children's personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help maintain a supportive classroom atmosphere.
  • Observe children's progress and provide feedback to the class teacher.
  • Support children with additional needs where required.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils at all times.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children within an EYFS setting.
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).
  • A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring, and positive approach to supporting children.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
