Hours: Part time, mornings only, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of increasing hours

Are you a patient and nurturing Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role? We are working with a lovely mainstream primary school in the BS8 area of Bristol who are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a Reception class during morning sessions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with early years experience who can bring a calm, consistent and supportive approach to help children settle, learn and grow in confidence during their first year of school.

The Role:

  • Providing dedicated support within a Reception classroom during morning sessions
  • Supporting children to access learning and stay engaged with activities
  • Helping with transitions, daily routines and tasks throughout the morning
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours
  • Supporting social skills, communication and emotional development
  • Working closely with the class teacher to track progress
  • Creating a calm, structured and nurturing environment for the children

We Are Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children in an early years or Reception setting (essential)
  • A calm, patient and reassuring approach
  • Someone who enjoys being active and engaging children through play
  • A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development
  • Ability to stay positive and composed in a busy classroom environment
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Reliability, professionalism and a commitment to safeguarding
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
