A rewarding opportunity has become available for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming primary school in Darwen.

This role is ideal for candidates with experience supporting young children who are passionate about helping pupils thrive during their early educational journey. The school is looking for a committed individual who can contribute positively to the EYFS team and potentially secure a permanent position.

  • Support children across the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
  • Deliver targeted support to pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
  • Encourage learning through play and interactive activities.
  • Monitor pupil progress and engage with learning objectives.
  • Support children's emotional wellbeing and confidence.
  • Assist in maintaining a positive and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Experience working with young children within an educational or childcare setting.
  • Level 3 Early Years qualification preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of EYFS practices and child-centred learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, proactive, and committed to supporting pupil development.
