A vibrant and welcoming mainstream primary school in Chorley is looking to appoint an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to support pupils throughout the academic year.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with young learners during the critical Early Years Foundation Stage, supporting their development and helping them achieve key learning milestones.

A Level 3 Early Years Qualification would be beneficial but is not essential for applicants with relevant experience and a passion for early years education.

  • Support pupils within the EYFS setting.
  • Assist with classroom activities, learning through play, and early intervention work.
  • Promote children's communication, language, and social development.
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and creative lessons.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and independence.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
  • Previous experience working with young children in a school, nursery, or childcare setting.
  • Good understanding of child development and EYFS principles.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Caring and proactive approach to supporting children.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Level 3 Early Years Qualification desirable but not essential.
  • Competitive hourly pay of £14.25 - £16.00.
