Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant

Length of Role: Academic Year (Flexible Start Date Available up to October Half Term for the Right Candidate)
Pay Rate: £14.25 - £16.00 per hour
Type of Setting: Mainstream Primary School

We are currently recruiting for an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Darwen for the full academic year.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide high-quality support to children within the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping them build confidence, develop key skills, and enjoy a positive start to their educational journey.

A Level 3 Early Years Qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

• Support learning and development within the EYFS classroom.
• Assist with phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and creative activities.
• Support children's personal, social, and emotional development.
• Encourage independence and positive engagement in learning.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups.
• Help maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment.

• Previous experience working with young children.
• Positive and nurturing attitude.
• Good understanding of child development and early learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Level 3 Early Years Qualification desirable but not essential.
