Location: Ellesmere Port
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Fixed term initially, with potential for a longer-term opportunity
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience - £93 - 105 p/d

A welcoming and supportive primary school in the Ellesmere Port area is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team.

The successful candidate will support children within the school's EYFS setting, helping to create a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

The Role

The EYFS Teaching Assistant will:

  • Support children across the Early Years setting on a daily basis
  • Assist with delivering activities in line with the EYFS curriculum
  • Help monitor children's learning and development through observations
  • Support children's social, emotional, and educational development
  • Work closely with teaching staff and parents to ensure positive outcomes
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school as part of a supportive team

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare
  • Have recent experience working within a nursery or primary school setting
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Be caring, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting young children
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Hold a Paediatric First Aid qualification or be willing to work towards one
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
