Salary: £32,000-£56,000 (Dependent on experience)
About the Role:
Supply Desk are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join a friendly and supportive school team in Watford. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced early years educator who is passionate about providing high-quality teaching and creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where young children can learn, develop, and thrive.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality early years education, supporting children’s development, and helping every child build the confidence, skills, and independence they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning activities in line with the EYFS framework
• Create a safe, stimulating, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
• Support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing across all areas of the EYFS
• Use a range of teaching approaches to meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of all children
• Observe, assess, and record children’s progress and use assessments to inform future planning
• Build strong and positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues
• Encourage children’s confidence, independence, communication, and social development
• Support children with additional needs and adapt learning activities where appropriate
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants and other staff to provide consistent support and high-quality learning experiences
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to children’s learning journeys and assessments
• Ensure safeguarding and health & safety policies are followed at all times
• Contribute to the wider school community and maintain high standards of teaching, care, and professionalism
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant Early Years teaching qualification
• Previous experience teaching within an Early Years or Reception setting (Desirable)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and organisational skills
• A positive, caring, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude
• Ability to build strong and positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
