Governors of a reputable Primary School in the Fulwood area of Preston are on the lookout for a dynamic and passionate Teacher to join their school following the spring term to cover planned teacher absences.

Reception Class Teacher

Start date – April 2024 

This role will be for the duration of the year and end in December 2024

The successful candidate will:

  • Have an excellent understanding of the Early Years curriculum and monitor the impact on pupil achievement. Also somebody who has a good understanding of the recent changes in the EYFS framework.
  • Work alongside the special educational needs coordinator (SENCO) to ensure the curriculum meets the needs of all pupils, including disadvantaged pupils and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
  • Promote pupils’ spiritual, moral, social, cultural, physical and mental development alongside British values.
  • High expectations for every child.
  • Commitment to participating in continuous professional development.
  • Work alongside specific subject leaders to understand how their subject is developed in EYFS
  • Share outstanding Early Years practice, knowledge and expertise.
  • Develop positive relationships with staff, governors, parents and children.
  • Plan effectively for support staff and monitor staff wellbeing.
  • Monitor the indoor and outdoor learning spaces and updating resources throughout the year when appropriate.
