Are you ready to make a real difference in a child's life? We're on the lookout for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic team in Accrington!

Role: Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Accrington, East Lancashire

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday

Start Date: May 2024

About the Role: We're looking for someone amazing to support a child with autism in our vibrant Reception class. As an EYFS SEN TA, you'll be the hero this child needs, providing one-on-one support to help them thrive in the classroom and beyond. From assisting with daily activities to creating a safe and nurturing environment, your role will be essential in ensuring every child receives the support they need to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to meet the individual needs of the child with autism, both academically and socially.
  • Foster a warm and inclusive atmosphere where the child feels supported and valued.
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies and interventions that promote progress and well-being.
  • Celebrate every milestone and triumph, no matter how small, to build confidence and self-esteem.
  • Embrace each day with positivity, patience, and a whole lot of heart!

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for working with children and a desire to make a difference.
  • Experience supporting children with special educational needs, particularly autism, is desirable but not essential – enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are what truly count!
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude that shines bright even on the toughest days.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • A superhero cape is optional but highly encouraged!
