EYFS Learning Support Assistant (LSA) | Full Time | Bedminster, Bristol | From £92.65 per day

Are you a dedicated and nurturing Early Years professional looking for a full-time role within a supportive school environment?

We are working in partnership with a warm and welcoming primary school in Bedminster that is seeking an EYFS Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young learners at a crucial stage in their development, working closely with the EYFS lead and class teachers to deliver engaging, play-based learning.

The class includes children with additional needs, and part of your role will involve providing 1:1 support for a non-verbal child, including sessions in a sensory room. The school prides itself on its inclusive ethos and strong support for both pupils and staff.

  • Support teaching and learning within the EYFS setting alongside the EYFS lead and class teachers
  • Provide targeted 1:1 support for a non-verbal child, including sensory-based interventions
  • Contribute to the delivery of engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework
  • Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all pupils
  • Assist with observations and informal assessments to support pupil progress
  • Support classroom routines and behaviour management strategies
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to promote pupil wellbeing, engagement, and independence
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers, communicating effectively when required
  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold the school's values
  • Experience working within an EYFS or Early Years setting
  • Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly non-verbal communication needs, is highly desirable
  • A sound understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
  • Confidence supporting behaviour and classroom routines
  • A patient, nurturing approach with strong communication skills
  • A flexible, proactive team player who enjoys working collaboratively
  • Full-time EYFS LSA role in a friendly and welcoming Bedminster school
  • A varied position combining whole-class support with meaningful 1:1 work
  • Opportunity to work alongside an experienced and supportive EYFS team
  • Inclusive, community-focused school that values staff wellbeing and development
  • A chance to make a genuine impact during a key stage of children's learning
