The school:

A primary school in Accrington (BB5) are looking for an Early Years (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to start in June 2024. The additional teaching assistant is needed in order to provide additional support to the current Early Years Team. The EYFS classroom has a fantastic range of resources, providing the children with a wide range of opportunities in the classroom and in outdoor provisions. 

The Role:

This role is on a short-term supply basis, with the possibility of being made permanent in the future. You would be needed on a full-time basis (8:45am – 3.30pm). As the successful applicant, you would be responsible for taking on a range of duties including supporting children that are not quite school ready in small groups as well as on a 1:1 basis, implementing positive behaviour strategies, and building relationships with pupils. The Head Teacher is keen to find a candidate with confidence in their knowledge of Phonics and the EYFS framework.

You will need to hold the following; 

  • Experience in Nursery, EYFS or a Primary School setting
  • Available for full time work
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about the Early Years Sector
  • Level 2 qualified or above
  • Core Subject Knowledge of Maths and English
  • Good behaviour management skills
  • Knowledge of Phonics schemes of work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
