A number of friendly and well-established primary schools in the Cheam area are looking to appoint experienced Teaching Assistants for full-time positions starting in September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed TA who enjoys supporting children's learning and development within a positive school environment.

You'll work alongside class teachers to provide high-quality support across the curriculum, helping pupils develop both academically and socially. The successful candidate will be confident, enthusiastic and able to quickly build rapport with children and staff.

  • Supporting teaching and learning throughout the school day
  • Working with small groups to reinforce key learning objectives
  • Assisting with phonics, reading and numeracy interventions
  • Supporting children with varying levels of learning need
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour
  • Contributing to a safe and engaging classroom environment
  • Previous primary school Teaching Assistant experience
  • Strong understanding of classroom routines and expectations
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
