English Teacher - Worksop -Education and Training

Are you a passionate English teacher looking for flexible teaching opportunities across Worksop?

At Academics, we act as an agency and are recruiting a English Teacher to work on a temporary, flexible, ongoing supply basis across a large variety of secondary schools.

The role allows you to share your passion for English with secondary students at a variety of schools across Worksop while also offering you the opportunity to undertake general secondary cover to share your passion for other subjects where subject-specific English roles are not available.

Position: English Teacher

Location: Worksop

Contract: Temp, Flexible Ongoing Supply

Pay: £140-£195 per day (Dependent on experience, training, qualifications, Paid via PAYE - No umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

Start date: ASAP

The role:

You will deliver engaging lessons across KS3 & KS4, driving pupils to build their mathematical knowledge, reasoning and problem-solving skills.

The role is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECT) who are looking for flexible, temporary, ongoing work. There may also be opportunities to undertake general secondary cover across a variety of Worksop schools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging English Lessons across KS3 & KS4
• Maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines
• Support pupils progress and engagement
• Adapt learning to meet the needs of different pupils
• Follow school planning and curriculum expectations
• Provide general secondary cover when required
• Follow safeguarding procedures at all times
• Follow and adhere to school policies at all times

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Previous Experience teaching English, or relevant secondary teaching experience
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Flexible and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
• A passion for education and Training
