Are you an ambitious and enthusiastic English teacher looking for an exciting new role in Hemel Hempstead? Supply Desk is currently seeking a committed English teacher to join a successful and forward-thinking secondary school in the local area.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5. You will be responsible for creating engaging and purposeful lessons that develop students’ knowledge of English, while encouraging them to become confident readers, writers and critical thinkers.

What You’ll Do:
• Teach Key Stage 3–5 English (or grades 7–12) through engaging lessons covering literature, language, and writing skills.
• Support student growth with assessments, constructive feedback and guidance.
• Encourage reading, critical thinking and effective communication.
• Collaborate with a supportive, innovative teaching team.
• Help students develop confidence, creativity and analytical skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Degree in English, English Literature, or related field; teaching qualification preferred (QTS).
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for inspiring young learners and making English engaging and relevant.
