Are you an enthusiastic English teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire and support secondary school students? Supply Desk is looking for a passionate and committed English teacher to join a forward-thinking and ambitious English department in the Watford area.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5. You will play an important role in developing students’ confidence, analytical abilities and communication skills, while helping them develop a genuine enthusiasm for English.

This role would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs who are keen to build their teaching career within a supportive, ambitious and positive school environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Teach Key Stage 3–5 English (or grades 7–12) through engaging lessons covering literature, language, and writing skills.
• Support student growth with assessments, constructive feedback and guidance.
• Encourage reading, critical thinking and effective communication.
• Collaborate with a supportive, innovative teaching team.
• Help students develop confidence, creativity and analytical skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Degree in English, English Literature, or related field; teaching qualification preferred (QTS).
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for inspiring young learners and making English engaging and relevant.
