This role would suit a confident classroom practitioner who can deliver engaging lessons, build positive relationships with students and maintain high expectations of achievement and behaviour.
Teach English across KS3 and KS4
Deliver creative, engaging and purposeful lessons
Support students in developing their reading, writing and communication skills
Prepare and support pupils through GCSE English
Monitor attainment and provide meaningful feedback
Differentiate effectively to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
Contribute positively to the wider English department and school community
QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Previous experience teaching English within a secondary setting
Good understanding of the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum
Strong classroom management and communication skills
