Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Dorchester from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate English specialist who can inspire students and deliver engaging lessons across the secondary age range. The successful candidate will join a supportive department and play an important role in helping pupils develop their confidence, communication and literacy skills.
Delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
Planning and preparing lessons in line with the national curriculum
Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Supporting pupils of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
Working closely with colleagues within the English department and wider school
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Has experience teaching English in a secondary school setting
Possesses strong subject knowledge across the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Is enthusiastic, reliable and committed to high standards
Is passionate about making English engaging and accessible for all learners
