As a Secondary English Teacher, you will support KS3 and KS4 students in developing reading, writing, and analytical skills.
Key responsibilities
Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
Support reading comprehension and analysis
Develop structured writing skills
Prepare students for GCSE exams
Deliver clear lesson plans
Track progress and provide feedback
The classroom environment
Lessons are structured and discussion-based
Students engage with texts
Behaviour is calm and controlled
Learning is progressive
Skills and experience
Strong English subject knowledge
Ability to develop written skills
Clear communication
Organisation and planning

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with English or humanities backgrounds
