The Role:
As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across the English curriculum, creating a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to succeed.
Responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teaching both English Language and English Literature
- Monitoring, assessing and tracking student progress
- Differentiating learning to support students of varying abilities
- Creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Managing behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing positively to the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A passion for English and inspiring young people
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning
