We’re Looking for an Inspirational English Teacher

At Supply Desk we believe that great teaching changes lives. We are looking for an English Teacher who can spark curiosity, nurture confidence, and help students appreciate the power of reading, writing, and communication.

Location: Stoke Mandeville

Start: September 2026

Full Time: Temporary to Permanent

Salary: £29,344-£44,919

Responsibilities

  • Teach English Language and Literature to students of varying abilities.
  • Deliver well-structured lessons in line with curriculum expectations.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies to engage and challenge learners.
  • Plan, assess, and track student progress effectively.
  • Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and department initiatives.
  • Support extra-curricular literacy activities, such as reading clubs or creative writing workshops.
  • Maintain a purposeful and inclusive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • A warm, encouraging approach that brings out the best in every student.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine love for English.
  • QTS or a relevant professional qualification.
