Position: English Teacher Location: Farnborough, Hampshire Start Date: September 2024 Contract Type: Full-Time, Longer-Term with Potential Transition to Temp to Perm

About the Role: As an English Teacher, you will have the rewarding opportunity to inspire and engage students across the age and attainment range at both Key Stage 3 and 4. From exploring classic works of literature to honing critical reading and writing skills, you'll play a vital role in nurturing a love of language and literature among your students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver stimulating and inclusive English lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Foster a supportive learning environment where students feel confident to express themselves creatively and analytically.
  • Inspire a passion for reading, writing, and critical thinking through engaging classroom activities and discussions.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their literacy skills and achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop a cohesive and enriching English curriculum that aligns with national standards and promotes lifelong learning.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (for experienced teachers).
  • ECTs qualifying this year and unqualified teachers are encouraged to apply, with comprehensive support and mentorship provided.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English literature, language, and literacy education.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Safer Recruitment in Education check will be required for successful candidates.
