Are you looking for your next role? One of our client schools wish to appoint a full-time English teacher starting from September 2024.

  • Full-time English teaching position
  • Employment for the remainder of the year with a permanent contract likely if successful over the initial temporary period.
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS Scale
  • School open to applications from Newly Qualified English teachers and experienced English teachers

As an English teacher within our client Secondary school, you will be expected to deliver a range of carefully crafted schemes of work that cover the three skill areas of: Reading, Writing and Speaking & Listening. These schemes of work focus around a variety of different texts and writing skills. Your learners will be regularly assessed across the skill areas, using a range of Assessment Objectives, and will have two summative assessments aimed at preparing pupils for their GCSE examinations.

Our client Secondary school is a supportive environment that believes in regular training for their teachers and departmental reviews. With this in mind, the Head of English is considering applications from NQT’s as well as more experienced English teachers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
