Teaching Personnel are seeking an Educator to cover an English maternity contract in a lovely secondary school in the Torfaen area. This role is due to start in September and will be 2 terms in duration. The school are open to accepting Newly Qualified Teachers for this role and Cover Supervisors with strong literacy skills or experience.

About the role:

• Temporary Maternity Cover.
• September 2024 start.
• 2 terms in duration.
• Full-time Monday to Friday.
• 08:30am-15:00pm.
• Full responsibilities including lesson planning, marking, parents evenings.
• Paid to scale in line with the Welsh framework – starting at £157.66 daily rate.

About you:

• Fully Qualified English Teacher (desirable).
• Excellent subject knowledge in English Literature and Language.
• Able to commit to a full-time role.
• Passionate about inspiring pupils.
• Able to teach years 7-11 (up to GCSE level).
• Seeking a challenge.

The school has a large onsite car park and access to public transport links. This is a mixed secondary school for ages 11-16. The school are looking for an individual that is bubbly, engaging and able to bring a fresh dynamic approach to the English department. The school would consider a Cover Supervisor (Educator with an English Degree) or applicable coaching experience with strong literacy skills.
