Are you a dedicated and passionate English Teacher seeking a fulfilling role? Teaching Personnel is delighted to present a full-time position for an English Teacher at an Ofsted Good secondary school in Wilmslow. This role is available immediately after Easter and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of becoming permanent based on performance. The salary for this role is £30,000 to £46,525 per annum, in line with PayScale.

Role Overview:

As an English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing students' love for literature and language, empowering them to excel in their studies and beyond. You will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons, covering a range of topics such as literature analysis, creative writing, grammar, and language skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver dynamic English lessons in line with the national curriculum, catering to students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
• Literary Exploration: Introduce students to a variety of literary texts, fostering their critical thinking and appreciation for literature.
• Writing Skills: Support students in developing their writing skills across different genres, providing feedback to enhance their expression and creativity.
• Language Study: Teach grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary, helping students to refine their language skills and communicate effectively.
• Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress through a range of formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
• Behaviour Management: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, implementing effective behaviour management strategies to facilitate learning.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues within the English department and across the school, sharing best practices and resources to enhance teaching and learning.

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for English literature and language.
• Experience teaching English at secondary level, preferably within a UK school setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
• Commitment to fostering a love for literature and language among students.
