Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated English graduate looking to kickstart your career in education?

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a passionate individual to join our team as an English Specialist Teaching Assistant at a secondary school in the High Peak area.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive and dynamic educational environment -

Responsibilities:

- Assisting the English department in planning and delivering engaging lessons.

- Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help with their English studies.

- Conducting small group sessions to reinforce learning and facilitate discussion.

- Marking and providing constructive feedback on student work.

- Supporting the teacher in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.

- Assisting with the organization and supervision of extracurricular activities related to English, such as book clubs or writing competitions.

- Collaborating with other teaching assistants and teachers to share resources and best practices.

Requirements:

- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in English or a related field.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong subject knowledge in English literature, language, and grammar.

- Passion for working with young people and helping them achieve their full potential.

- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.

- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational setting.

- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
