Have you recently completed an Education Studies degree and are looking to build valuable classroom experience?

Academics is recruiting enthusiastic Education Studies graduates to work as Teaching Assistants in supportive primary schools across South East London. We will have temporary, long-term and permanent opportunities available from September, making this an ideal first step towards a career in teaching, education or SEND.



The Role

Working alongside experienced teachers, you will support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 by:

  • Supporting children on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups.

  • Assisting with literacy and numeracy programmes.

  • Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence and independence.

  • Supporting children with additional learning needs where required.

  • Helping teachers create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

This role offers excellent practical experience while developing your classroom skills and confidence.



We Are Looking For

  • A degree in Education Studies.

  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A positive, patient and proactive approach.

  • Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential. This could include tutoring, mentoring, coaching, volunteering or childcare.
