Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Fleetwood. This role is available for an immediate start and offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young children with additional needs.

As an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage who require additional support to access learning and develop socially, emotionally, and academically. You will be working both on a one-to-one basis and within small groups, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within the EYFS setting.
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities.
  • Encouraging children's communication, social interaction, and independence skills.
  • Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working with children in an EYFS, nursery, or primary school setting.
  • Has experience supporting children with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Speech & Language Needs, or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Is patient, caring, and enthusiastic about supporting children's development.
  • Can adapt to the individual needs of pupils and remain calm under pressure.
  • Holds a relevant childcare, teaching assistant, or education qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Has a genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
