Are you a passionate and experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full time role? We are working with a welcoming primary school in North Bristol who are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team in a permanent role starting in September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Teaching Assistants who want long term stability and the chance to become part of a supportive school community. You will be working alongside the class teacher to support young children in their learning and development during their crucial early years.

The Role:
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging, play based learning activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
- Providing 1:1 support and small group interventions to help children reach their learning goals
- Supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including those with autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, social communication needs and sensory processing needs
- Implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and supporting children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Using positive behaviour management strategies to support children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
- Helping to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Assisting with the assessment, observation and recording of children's progress and development
- Supporting children with phonics, early literacy and numeracy activities
- Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues
- Supporting children with personal care needs as required
- Working collaboratively with the SENCO, class teachers and external professionals such as speech and language therapists and educational psychologists
- Contributing to the wider school community and Early Years provision

We Are Looking For:
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant or Early Years Practitioner
- Experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
- Experience supporting children with autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties or other additional needs
- A patient, nurturing, calm and adaptable approach
- Strong communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm, creativity and a genuine passion for supporting young children
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years or Teaching and Learning is desirable but not essential
