Teaching Personnel are excited to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Fleetwood, who are seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA) to join their team from September 2026.


This is a full-time position supporting within the Early Years setting. The successful candidate will:

  • Provide general classroom support across the EYFS provision
  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging, child-centred learning
  • Support children’s development through play-based learning and structured activities
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

In addition, you will:

  • Work closely with children with emerging or undiagnosed additional needs
  • Provide targeted support to help children access learning and develop socially and emotionally
  • Support pupils who require personal care, ensuring dignity and safety at all times
  • Help create a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child can thrive

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Qualified with a Level 3 EYFS qualification (or equivalent)
  • Able to commit to a full-time role for at least one academic year
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine passion for early years education
  • Confident supporting children with additional needs and personal care requirements
  • A strong team player with excellent communication skills

Experience within an EYFS setting is essential, and prior experience supporting children with SEND or emerging needs would be highly advantageous.
