Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a caring, creative, and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school in Washington, working within their nursery provision from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate early years practitioner to play a key role in shaping young children’s first experiences of education, supporting their development through high-quality, play-based learning.


As an Early Years Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Support children’s development across all areas of learning, including communication, language, personal, social, and emotional development
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and independence
  • Observe, assess, and track children’s progress, adapting provision to meet individual needs
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff within the nursery setting
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers, sharing updates on children’s development
  • Support children with additional needs, including those with SEND

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant Early Years qualification
  • Have experience working within an EYFS or nursery setting
  • Have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Be patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic about early childhood education
  • Have experience supporting children with SEND (desirable)
  • Be reliable and committed to a full-time role
