Early Years Teacher Suitable to NQT

Early Years Teacher - Stafford - Start Date: September 2026

We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated and ambitious Early Years Teacher to support a school in Stafford. This will be the perfect role to explore and experience working within a new school environment on a long-term cover role but through a temporary basis, working for an agency.

You will be joining a growing school in the heart of Stafford, surrounded by a supportive staff cohort who will nurture and support you. The school encourages both their students and staff to have a passionate attitude towards everything they do; this is what makes the school such a positive place to be. Communication is a key trait that the school are looking for their Early Years Teacher to foster; you are expected to communicate well with other members of staff, parents and most importantly children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality lessons and activities across the board, in line with the Early Years Framework
• Adapt teaching styles to meet the needs of different classes and abilities
• Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment, this is particularly important as you'll be the Early Years Teacher
• Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding guidelines
• Create engaging and enriching activities and learning environment for all pupils

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Has recent experience teaching in the Early Years
• Feel confident in holding full class responsibilities and be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons
• Is flexible, reliable, and confident working in different school settings
• Has very strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or is willing to obtain one)
• Can provide two recent professional references
• Is available for full-time work, on a long term role
• Is able to commute to a school in the centre of Stafford
• Is fully registered (or willing to register) with Academics

Pay £130 - £160 per day, depending on experience. Holiday pay is included in the daily rate.
