We are currently recruiting enthusiastic ECTs to work across a range of supportive primary and secondary schools in Gateshead and the surrounding areas. With flexible opportunities available, this is a fantastic chance to gain valuable classroom experience, build confidence, and secure your ideal teaching role.
As an ECT, you will:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons within your specialist subject or key stage
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students can thrive
- Support student progress through effective assessment, feedback, and classroom practice
- Build strong professional relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
- Maintain high standards of behaviour management and safeguarding
- Develop your teaching skills with ongoing support and guidance
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold, or be working towards, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have a degree in their specialist subject area
- Be passionate about education and committed to student success
- Demonstrate excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Be adaptable, proactive, and eager to develop professionally
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
