Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit an EAL Teaching Assistant to start working with us for the rest of the academic year. Our client Secondary School is looking to hire someone who is able to hit the ground running and can start working in May until December 2024 (5 days a week, 8:30am – 3:30pm).

The school is in a great location in South Manchester, Didsbury, which is located close to various tram and bus routes. In addition, someone who has access to a vehicle would find the commute to the school from surrounding areas such as Withington and Longsight easy. The school also has secure onsite parking.

Benefits:

-          Secure onsite parking and good transport links

-          Recently refurbished school facilities and welcoming and supportive staff

-          Working on a 1:1 and small group basis with EAL students to help improve progress and learning outcomes

The role itself will involve working closely with the SENCO and other support staff to identify and support specific EAL students who would highly benefit from additional 1:1 attention. It is important that candidates are willing to be patient and flexible to adapting when helping students with a language barrier or different learning styles. Though you will be supporting students who’s first language is not English, there is not a requirement to speak another language for this role.
