EAL Teaching Assistant in Blackpool (FY4)!

We are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support EAL (English as an Additional Language) children at a mainstream primary school in the vibrant community of Blackpool (FY4). The role will be full time starting on the 7th May 2024. 

As an EAL Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all students, regardless of their language proficiency, have equal access to quality education. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individualized support to EAL students to enhance their English language skills and comprehension.
  • Assisting classroom teachers in creating inclusive learning environments by adapting materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of EAL learners.
  • Building strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues to foster a supportive and inclusive school community.
  • Monitoring student progress and collaborating with teachers to implement targeted interventions and support strategies.
